NOTE: This is my first attempt to write a story as it plays in my mind like a movie scene. So there are transitions that might confuse the reader but that's basically what I am practicing here,to write a script moving back and forth in different times and places. My intention is to know if the reader can actually follow the scenes as narrated here. Please let me know. Don't worry my peeps, this is not a series. I intend to write variety of stories like chopped scenes as the prompts lead me. This is also part of my 40 birthday resolutions to concentrate on descriptive writing which was lacking in my previous posts. Bear with me for all the grammatical errors, geographical nonsense and character mutiliation,LOL!

1. INT. 7-11 CONVENIENCE STORE , 7TH STREET, LOS ANGELES– MIDNIGHT, PRESENT

We see a very young man Liam, falling in line in a convenience store. Behind him were his friends checking the ladies going in and out of the glass door...making fun of those who can’t guess correctly if the door is a push or a pull. A few of them breaks away from the line and opens the door for the pretty ones while Irene, the only lady in the group, is seen leafing through the pages of a magazine in the news stand about 50 steps away from them. He is tinkering with his phone ... the cashier , with dark circles around his eyes is standing by to take his order... Liam moved his head left and right and realized that it’s his turn now..

LIAM

Oh, two cappucino ,please.

Liam reads the new message on his phone...

Betrayer.

Liam ,dumbfounded with the message, checks his pockets for some coins ...pays the cashier hurriedly and walks to the door. His friends yells at him. Trevor follows Liam right through the door while holding two cups of coffee.

TREVOR

Hey! Where are you going?!

Liam gives one cup of coffee to Trevor almost spilling it on his shirt...

LIAM

Can you give this to Irene?

Trevor tries to hold the cup of coffee, careful not to spill it...watching Liam as he storms out the glass door...

2. EXT. 7-11 CONVENIENCE STORE , 7TH STREET, LOS ANGELES– MIDNIGHT, PRESENT

Liam walks back and forth beside the light post just across the convenience store...looking up biting his lips...feeling restless. A cat is seen passing by which almost tripped him as he turned around while in that state of confusion...

LIAM

Get out of my way!

The cat stares back at him... we focus on her eyes which has a haunting glow...as the cat’s eyes turn into a pair of a human eye...mezmerizing pair of eyes...

3. INT. BALLROOM, EVENING,LAS VEGAS- ONE MONTH AGO

The owner of those pair of brown-cognac eyes reveal a sultry-looking woman in a black dress dancing with Liam wearing a suit ...his hair carefully combed on the side secured with a gel.

LIAM (VOICE OVER)

Her eyes are the most beautiful pair of eyes I’ve ever seen. I can’t blame Ruggi for falling for her.I thought their relationship was made in heaven until whisper down the lane came to play. Some say she came from the Russo family whose ancestry could be traced back to Italy where Ruggi’s father stayed briefly and impregnated an Italian woman.

4. INT. RUSSO RESIDENCE,FLORENCE,ITALY- EVENING 1979

We see Veronica ,an Italian woman giving birth and helplessly turns away not mindful of her new born child.

A WOMAN”S VOICE (VOICE OVER)

Non vuoi vedere il tuo bambino?

(Don’t you want to see your baby?)

5. INT. RUSSO RESIDENCE, FLORENCE,ITALY,JUST BEFORE SUNRISE 1979 SAME DAY

A rope is hanging on the ceiling with the body of Veronica on it..dead. We hear a screaming voice...a note is seen left on the table...the house helper gets it and gives it to Veronica’s parents.

LIAM (VOICE OVER)

Briefly after Veronica delivered her child, she took her own life. That child turned out to be Angelina and moved to America to find her father and avenge the death of her mother , too.

6. INT. BALLROOM, EVENING,LAS VEGAS- ONE MONTH AGO

LIAM (VOICE OVER)

How she is going to carry-out her plan is for me to find out. One thing is sure though, she is not going to spare me. She will wipe me out ahead of Ruggi .And so I invited her to a restaurant serving lobster knowing that she knows that I already know. I can kill her anytime as I lead her to the dance floor...nothing can stop me except that she is my bestfriend’s girlfriend. No.. truth of the matter is, she is fully armed...she is fully armed with all the charms which shields her from any attempt on my part to disarm her.
